FASA 亡き後に Earthdawn 1st Edition の権利を獲得して、地道に出版を続けていた Red Brick 社ですが、近頃 D&D 4th Edition のルールを使用する権利を得て、Earthdawn の DD4e 版を製作するとアナウンスしています。
Earthdawn Age of Legend Announced for D&D 4E

Age of Legend™ is based on FASA Corporation’s popular Earthdawn® fantasy roleplaying game.

一時期かなりこのゲームをやりこんだ私としては、正直うれしいニュースです。ただ、DD4e 自体がかなり Earthdawn を参考にして作られたと見られる部分*1があるので、それを DD4e に持ち込んでも、違いを訴求できないのではないかと心配しています。
DD3e 自体はかなり良く出来たゲームなので、あえて Earthdawn の世界に乗り換える必然性を感じないというか…。
まぁ心配はともかく、セッティングが発表されるのを楽しみに待ちたいと思います。
